A Significant Environmental Impact

To date, BACFREE® has made substantial contribution to environmental conservation through its widespread implementation of rainwater harvesting systems in Malaysia. With over 71,440 residential & 13,026 commercial installations, the company has successfully collected an estimated 55,901,122 cubic meters of rainwater annually. This remarkable achievement equates to filling 22 Olympic-sized swimming pools & mitigating the equivalent of 31,416 tonnes of CO2 emissions every year.

BACFREE®’s rainwater harvesting systems are certified by Germany DIN standard, Malaysian MGTC’s MyHIJAU & SIRIM Eco-Labelling. These systems have also been rigorously tested by the National Water Research Institute of Malaysia (NAHRIM).

BACFREE® has also consistently invest in R & D & collaborating
with Monash University on the development of patented rainwater harvesting systems designed for tropical climate.
