From 29 July to 1 August, BACFREE brought over four decades of water filtration expertise to MITEC, Hall 4, Booth 4V624-628, for one of Southeast Asia’s most anticipated design and architecture showcases: ARCHIDEX 2026.
For a brand built on solving Malaysia’s water quality challenges since 1982, ARCHIDEX offered something rare: a stage where design and engineering meet in the same room. This year, BACFREE showed up with both.
Redefining the Hydration Experience in Modern Kitchens

At ARCHIDEX 2026, BACFREE shared with leading interior designers how the Just Tap Series can revolutionise modern kitchens by making filtered drinking water a seamless part of the overall design.
With instant hot, cold and ambient filtered water available directly from a premium kitchen tap, Just Tap elevates an everyday routine while complementing the look and function of a thoughtfully designed space.
This reflects the principle behind the series: water solutions should be designed into spaces, not bolted onto them. Through stronger partnerships with interior designers, BACFREE hopes to bring this new hydration experience into more Malaysian homes.
Bringing Rainwater Harvesting into Future Developments

The conversation extended beyond interior spaces as we connected with architects, contractors and developers to introduce BACFREE’s Eco-Series rainwater harvesting solutions.
Designed for Malaysian homes, Eco-Wallz and Eco-Standz combine compact, contemporary designs with simple operation. They allow households to collect and reuse rainwater for non-drinking purposes such as toilet flushing, general cleaning and gardening.
When incorporated across an entire residential development, these individual systems can collectively harvest a substantial volume of rainwater with every rainfall. By working closely with industry professionals, BACFREE hopes to accelerate the adoption of rainwater harvesting in future developments and support Malaysia’s transition towards stronger ESG practices.
Introducing Ultra Hybrid for Cleaner Whole-Home Water

ARCHIDEX 2026 also marked the first public appearance of Ultra Hybrid, BACFREE’s latest point-of-entry outdoor water filtration solution for individual residential units.
Ultra Hybrid combines ultrafiltration membrane technology with activated carbon filtration to filter incoming water before it reaches the different outlets throughout a home. The system is designed to maintain a consistent high flow while supporting cleaner water for everyday household use.
This introduction reflects BACFREE’s continued commitment to making cleaner water accessible throughout more Malaysian homes.
Better Water Belongs in the Design from the Start

ARCHIDEX is always a reminder that water solutions don’t sit in isolation. They’re part of how a space is designed, built, and lived in. Whether it’s a kitchen tap that quietly upgrades a daily routine or a centralized water filtration system serving an entire development, BACFREE’s role is the same: making clean water part of good design.
Thank you to everyone who visited our booth and exchanged ideas with our team. These conversations help us better understand evolving project needs, identify opportunities for earlier water planning and turn better ideas into practical solutions for future homes and developments.
